ABOUT OUR MEETINGS:
The DFC Chapter meets on the third Wednesday of each month, from 11:30am-1:00pm.
In response to suggestions from our members, we are moving our meeting
location around to different buildings on and off the Federal Center.
Members, guests, men and women are all welcome at meetings. Because
meetings are held over the lunch hour, everyone is encouraged to brown
bag it here! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! More information about specific program

HELP WANTED
The DFC Chapter is looking for A FEW GOOD MEMBERS. The following positions are open and available. If you are interested in serving please contact Cheryl Howley.
PROGRAMMING & PLANNING CHAIR:
- Working as a team, take the lead in developing the annual
plan for monthly meetings and events
- Coordinate speakers or
discussion groups
- Work with the all of the other committees to make sure planned
speakers, discussion topics and events incorporated the diverse
needs of the Chapter and meet with the purpose and focus areas
of FEW.
- Serve on the Chapter Board of Directors
COMMITTEE MEMBERS FOR THE FOLLOWING:
Need member volunteers
to help with:
- Policy & Legislation:
a. reviewing the Chapter Bylaws and making recommendations for changes
and improvements
b. tracking what's happening in Federal and State governments concerning
women and federal employment in general, what the FEW National
lobbyist is working on and in developing new ideas to forward proactive
legislation.
- Fundraising & Communication:
a. brainstorming future fundraising events
b. assisting on sending out member and community news and updates
c. monitoring and providing update material to the web site administrator
- Membership & Diversity:
- working with a team to develop ideas for
new member welcome packets, recruitment, member retention
and membership drives
- working with a team to identify diversify programs and initiatives
to further FEW's
diversity focus
- identifying ways to engage more members in active participation
and volunteerism
